This site has been set up and is run by CROSSWAY MODELS for the benefit of the serious white metal model collector, its purpose is to offer them an honest, accurate and concise review of new white metal models.

In an effort to do this correctly we have set up a small group of reviewers who are recognized experts within their own selected field, who have a strong interest in white metal model collecting and who have a reputation for being honest about the item they are reviewing.
Main model reviewer is Dave Turner who is well known for his expertise on the history of the British Motor Industry, he has written both articles and reviews for Car Clubs and model publications. Dave has compiled for us an article on the ‘History of White Metal’.
Steve Woodward writes model reviews for the Police Vehicle Enthusiasts Club and more recently a major model publication. An excellent choice for the many Police related vehicles that are being produced.
Chris Derbyshire of the South Hants Model Club will need no introduction to Rally enthusiasts. His knowledge of and enthusiasm for, both Rally cars and models, is exceptional. Chris has written model reviews for both classic car and model publications in the past.
None of the people who are doing the reviews within this site have a vested interest in the white metal market place, other than their wish to see the continued production of these high quality hand built model motor cars.
To guide your way through this site you will find, in the index, the name of a selected Model Producer, opposite this will be a thumbnail of the latest model that has been reviewed. Click on the thumbnail and this will take you to the page requested. If the Manufacturer has a web site, this may be found by clicking on that Company’s logo at the top of the review page.

PRICE BANDING
As a result of the slightly varying prices charged by different white metal traders we have given the reviewed models a guide price close to what you might expect to pay for your model. Some Traders are VAT registered, some are not, so this will alter the prices for purchasers outside the EEC as our price banding includes UK VAT, please enquire from the retailer you contact their position. We are also aware that some Traders do cover postage costs within the UK, again enquire with your retailer
